The Curtis Lab in the Department of Psychology at NYU is seeking an Assistant Research Scientist (part-time non-exempt). The lab studies the cognitive, computational, and neuroscientific aspects of spatial cognition, memory, attention, and/or decision making in humans. We use a variety of methods (e.g., fMRI, TMS, MEG/EEG, Eye-tracking, and modeling). Responsibilities for the position include collection, processing, modeling, and analysis of neural and behavioral data. Other duties will include computer programming, database management, and subject recruitment and screening. In addition, some lab administration duties will be required (e.g., IRB and grant management). Two NIH funded grants will support the position and the research.
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $18-$25/hr for 20 hours per week. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer.
- A Bachelor's degree in Cognitive Science, Computer Science, Psychology, Neuroscience, or a related field
- Strong computing, statistical, and/or technical skills are required
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Flexible working hours
