Working Title Assistant Registrar Transfer Systems
Brief Summary of Job Description
The person in this position shall work with the Associate Registrar and professional staff in fulfilling the responsibilities of the records office. In general, the person oversees all transfer credit applications, transfer rules and the TES online course equivalency system; works with academic departments in overseeing the development and maintenance of articulation agreements; is responsible for the maintenance, development, testing and training of a variety of on-line applications; works with the Associate Registrar in planning and developing new or special projects and on-line applications for the Office of the Registrar. In addition, this person is responsible for the Hyland Brainware software, including but not limited to policies, training, and procedures. This person will also create and maintain communication generation through the Student Information system. This person provides direct supervision to 1.0 FTE.
Job Duties
Maintain transfer rules and transfer tables in the student information system (PeopleSoft); test new enhancements and bundle releases.
Assist the Associate Registrar to create program specific articulation agreements, including both domestic and international agreements.
Train the UNK faculty, professional advisors and staff on transfer systems to support students.
Responsible for Hyland Brainware/OCR software including policies, training, and procedures.
This person will also create and maintain communication generation through the Student Information system.
Maintain TES and Transferology modules for UNK.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and 3 years successful work experience. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to understand complex, integrated systems, web applications, workflow technologies and reporting tools; understand, follow and explain university policy and procedures; exceptional team focus with the ability to multitask; ability to troubleshoot complex computer applications; proficiency with Excel, web and database systems. A sincere desire to serve students.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred: Master’s degree with 3 or more years of experience in an office setting. Experience with Hyland Perceptive Content and Brainware OCR software and TES/Transferology systems. PeopleSoft student information system, PS Query writing, and communication generation creation and support.
Physical Demands
Schedule M-F, 8am-5pm, 40 hours
