Texas A&M University’s Mays Business School is seeking a strategic and forward-thinking leader to be the Assistant Program Director for the Professional MBA Program. The Professional MBA program is designed for working professionals who want to immediately apply the knowledge they learn in the classroom to their professions. The knowledge and skills gained from this program equip our students to become strong business leaders.

As the Assistant Director you will be responsible for assisting the Director in the development, administration, and implementation of quality services of value, and programs to effectively meet student needs, attaining and promoting the objectives of the Professional MBA Program and Mays Business School. Your knowledge of Academic Advising and Admissions will drive your success in coordination of onboarding, reviewing degree plans as you coordinate and/or present unique on and off campus employer/student events, such as student enrichment seminars and industry related experiences. Your practical knowledge in finance will be your guide in contracting for products, services, and events related to the program. And your gifts of perception and communication will aid your success as you anticipate and facilitate faculty needs relative to the teaching responsibilities in the program while overseeing the faculty evaluation process for MBA courses.

Opportunities to contribute

  • Manage the Professional MBA Program application and admissions process
  • Provide ongoing concise communication with faculty
  • Implement strategic planning for Program Operations
  • Gather and evaluate data/metrics, providing reports to the Academic Director and Associate Dean for Graduate Programs

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Six years of related experience in program management including related supervisory experience.

Proficiency with university systems such as Compass, OGSDPSS, CONCUR, Canvas, and CAS Application is necessity. The Well-qualified applicant will have a Master’s Degree coupled with experience in recruiting, admissions, or academic advising with higher education, particularly in Graduate Studies. Two or more years of recruiting, and student advising with marketing skills.
