General Description / Primary Purpose | The University of North Florida Department of Nutrition & Dietetics invites applications for a 9-month Nutrition Assistant Professor, tenure-track, starting in Fall 2024. |
Essential Duties
Job Function | Primary responsibilities include teaching in the graduate programs; maintaining a productive research agenda, and mentoring doctoral students. Other responsibilities include providing service to the department, college and university. The selected faculty member will be expected to teach a 2:2 course load with opportunity to teach one course in summer for additional salary. The course load is subject to review after three years. In addition, the faculty member is encouraged to pursue contracts and grants where appropriate. Faculty Position Required Qualifications | The successful candidate will have a Doctorate of Clinical Nutrition (DCN) or PhD in Nutrition or a related field by August 5, 2024, be a registered dietitian, have a minimum of 5 years of experience practicing in various clinical settings, have experience teaching graduate students, have a record of service to the profession and have a record of, or potential for scholarly research leading to peer-reviewed publications. Preferred qualifications: Experience mentoring graduate students, experience with grant writing; experience conducting research in community and/or clinical settings. This is not a remote position. The successful candidate will be required to work at the UNF campus in Jacksonville, Florida. |
