Assistant Professor, Social Psychology

The Department of Psychology at the University of Houston-Clear Lake invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position at the rank of assistant professor beginning August, 2024. Candidates should have an expertise in social and personality psychology, as well as an interest in teaching statistics and research methods at the undergraduate and master’s levels. The successful candidate will have knowledge and skills to work effectively with various groups of students, colleagues, and community members.

Duties:

• Teach three classes per semester.
• Conduct and publish research.
• Mentor and service students and perform related duties as assigned.

Experience in teaching a theories of personality (or related) course at the undergraduate level.

Experience in teaching statistics and research methods at the undergraduate and/or master's level including experimental and non-experimental methods.
