Computer Science Assistant Professor(s)
The University of Montana invites applications for two (2) tenure-track assistant professor positions in the Department of Computer Science to begin August, 2024. We are interested in outstanding candidates specializing in artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML). Successful applicants will have a doctorate in computer science or a closely related field; evidence of or potential for both teaching and research excellence; effective oral and written communication skills; an ability to teach both undergraduate and graduate courses; a willingness to participate in research applying AI and ML techniques to mitigate and manage wildfire risk; and a commitment to recruiting and teaching diverse groups of students.
Our computer science faculty successfully reconcile professional demands with a rewarding lifestyle that engages Montana’s rich natural setting. Position Details:
Tenure Track Faculty: Department of Computer Science.
Title: Assistant Professor; two (2) openings.
Schedule: Full time academic year position beginning August 2024.
Entry Rate: $95,000 for entry level; salary is commensurate with qualifications.
