Wayne State University has an available position of Assistant Professor- Political Science at its Detroit campus location.

Essential functions (job duties):

Teach university courses in public administration including:

Foundations of Nonprofit Management (PS 7700)

Managing Public Organizations & Programs (PS 7350)

Public Personnel Management (PS 7340)

Financial Management for Nonprofit Organizations (PS 6700)

Ethics & Politics of Public Policy (PS 2420); & Introduction to Public Administration (PS 2310).

Advise students.

Conduct research in dynamics of organizational innovation & learning in both the public & nonprofit sectors.

Publish results of research in peer-reviewed journals & present results at professional conferences. 


Qualifications:

Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Public Administration.

Position also requires: 

Ph.D. dissertation in organizational change in public & nonprofit sectors.
