Position Summary
The Department of English, Foreign Languages, and Speech Communication seeks to hire a full-time, Assistant Professor of Speech Communication (Tenure-Track).

Qualifications


Minimum Required Education
Candidates must have terminal degree (PhD) in Speech, Communication Studies, or other relevant discipline by date of appointment.
Minimum Required Experience
  • Three (3) or more years of successful relevant teaching experience at the college level which can include GTA experience
  • Proven publishing experience in peer-reviewed publications
Minimum Required Licenses and/or Certifications
None

Skills and Abilities
  • Candidates must be capable of teaching a range of courses within the communication discipline, for general education s students as well as majors and graduate students.
  • The ideal candidate demonstrates experience and versatility in inclusive I pedagogy.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Teaching undergraduate and graduate courses
  • Directing undergraduate theses and projects
  • Advising undergraduate
  • Contributing to the intellectual life of the department through individual and collaborative initiatives
  • Maintaining an active research and publishing agenda.
  • Performing departmental and university committee service, attend in-person meetings and events (i.e. commencement)
  • Maintaining a schedule for professional development
