Job Summary/Basic Functions

Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond, Kentucky is seeking a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Risk Management and Insurance in the College of Business. The duties of this position include teaching a 3-3 course load, all in Risk Management and Insurance (RMI); Research in RMI, actuarial science, or a related area in a peer-reviewed journal consistent with School of Business requirements for Scholarly Academics; and Service in support of the RMI Program through activities. We offer the opportunity to teach at the undergraduate level in our RMI major and minor, and in our MBA course on Enterprise Risk Management.
This position requires a Ph.D. in Business Administration, Risk Management and Insurance, or a related field from a regionally accredited institution; 6 months of post-doctoral research in risk management and insurance; and 6 months of teaching experience in risk management, insurance, actuarial science, or a related topic. Offers of employment are contingent upon a satisfactory background check.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: This position requires a Ph.D. in Business Administration, Risk Management and Insurance, or a related field from a regionally accredited institution.

Experience: This position requires 6 months of post-doctoral research in risk management and insurance; and 6 months of teaching experience in risk management, insurance, actuarial science, or a related topic.
