Job Summary
Job Summary | Concord University Department of Fine Arts and Communication invites applications for a full-time, tenure track, 9-month Assistant Professor of Graphic Design beginning in August of 2024. The position involves teaching 12 credit hours per semester through a combination of asynchronous and synchronous course delivery. In addition to teaching, faculty are expected to participate in curriculum development, assessment, academic advising, scholarship/professional development, and service at the departmental, college, and university levels, as well as within the profession and the community. All tenure-track faculty are expected to demonstrate a commitment to teaching excellence, an ongoing program of creative research, publication, and/or other professional practices/activities designed to enrich student learning, and provide service to the community and profession. We are seeking high-energy applicants with enthusiasm for teaching, intellectual vigor, strong human relations and communication abilities, and a demonstrated record of teaching and graphic design experience. |

Required Licenses/Certification | Minimum Education: An MFA or equivalent terminal degree in Graphic Design or a closely related area is required. Preferred Qualifications: MFA in Graphic Design; evidence of successful teaching at the postsecondary level; experience in Graphic Design |
Required Skills | Strong communication and collaborative skills, a proven record of professional practice/teaching and/or creative research in the area of web design. We are seeking applicants with enthusiasm for teaching, intellectual vigor, strong human relations and communication abilities, and a demonstrated record of teaching and graphic design experience. |
