Job Summary/Basic Functions

Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond, Kentucky is seeking a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Counselor Education in the Department of Clinical Therapeutic Programs. The Assistant Professor of Counselor Education will be responsible for teaching a variety of courses in clinical mental health counseling, school counseling, and/or doctoral-level counselor education and supervision; providing clinical supervision to master and/or doctoral students; actively working on a scholarly research agenda including publications and presentation; and providing service to the department, college, university, community and profession.
This position requires a Doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision from a CACREP-accredited program and a minimum of 1 year of full-time teaching experience in a Counselor Education program. Applicant must be license-eligible as a professional clinical counselor or eligible for certification as a school counselor. Offers of employment are contingent upon a satisfactory background check.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: This position requires a Doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision from a CACREP-accredited program. Applicant must be license-eligible as a professional clinical counselor or eligible for certification as a school counselor

Experience: This position requires a minimum of 1 year of full-time teaching experience in a Counselor Education program.
