Assistant Professor of Clinical Practice, 102100

The Department of Social Work at the University of West Florida invites applications for a 9-month, Assistant Professor of Clinical Practice (non-tenure earning), with a start date of August 8, 2024. We seek to expand our team of social work faculty dedicated to preparing undergraduate social work students for generalist practice, particularly in a region with a critical need for mental health providers. Our Bachelor’s in Social Work program is one of the oldest social work programs in the state university system, receiving CSWE accreditation nearly 50 years ago.

The position includes the following duties: 1) teaching undergraduate courses related to clinical practice (e.g., Work with Individuals and Families, Substance Abuse, Case Management), (2) teaching both online and in-person courses, (3) providing service to the department, college, university, and community, and (4) supporting Field Education through teaching Field & Senior Seminar courses. The teaching load is 4:4 (four 3-credit courses per semester).
