Assistant Professor - Neurology Stroke

Position Description:

The Department of Neurology at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) is seeking a Board Certified / Board Eligible Neurovascular Stroke Specialist at the Assistant to Full Professor level to augment our clinical, teaching, and research programs. The clinical expertise assembled in the Department of Neurology resulted in JCAHO certification of Froedtert Hospital as the first Primary Stroke Center in Wisconsin in 2004, and now as one of only three Comprehensive Stroke Centers in the state.  You will be part of a highly respected group of cerebrovascular specialists who collaborate as part of the Froedtert Acute Stroke Team (FAST), which serves as a large regional referral center for patients with complex stroke.

Position Requirements:

  • Fellowship training in Vascular Neurology
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Vascular Neurology
  • Wisconsin licensure or eligible for licensure
  • Willingness to join a very active stroke team
  • Appropriate clinical/research/teaching experience
  • Successful candidates should bring strong clinical abilities, well-refined interpersonal skills, enthusiasm, and commitment to MCW’s academic missions
