Primary Purpose | The Assistant Professor provides instruction in the Manufacturing Technology program at the Redmond, Oregon campus of the College, as a member of an instructional team of full-time and part-time instructors. The Manufacturing Technology program is a highly varied learning environment where instruction may include but is not limited to lectures, open lab instruction, direct one-on-one student discussions, small group breakouts, hands-on demonstrations of manufacturing processes, e-learning, electronic and traditional examinations, and workmanship evaluations. Faculty in this program are actively engaged in repositioning the program to meet the needs of the rapidly developing manufacturing sector in the district by building partnerships with local employer and robust dual-credit articulations with local high schools. CTE Program Director Information: Every CTE program has a Program Director. As faculty within the Manufacturing Technology program, you may be asked to perform the job duties of the Program Director for the program. In the event that this designation is given, you will be provided with the information regarding this position prior to any appointments. |

Ergonomic Requirements | Ability to work in classroom and office environments using computers, white boards, projectors, and other basic office equipment. Ability to work on shop floor operating welders, cutters, mills, lathes, forklifts, and other machines. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and to stand for long periods. All individuals are required to be able to perform the essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation. |
