Assistant Professor, LEAD College of Health, Education and Professional Studies University of Tennessee at Chattanooga The Department of Learning and Leadership at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC) is seeking to fill a position in the Learning and Leadership programs within the College of Health, Education and Professional Studies to begin in February 2024. This is a twelve-month, full-time , Assistant Professor appointment that requires year-round instruction, advising and supervising multi-disciplinary research at the graduate level. This position requires experience with online and hybrid learning environments. The LEAD programs are competency focused, with multi-disciplinary and work/experience embedded curriculum. Most of the students pursuing these degrees are actively working and engaged in various areas of professional practice. We see learning as transformative relative to human behavior and cognition in multiple venues. From a Leadership perspective we believe that leadership is a shared process based on relationships, organizational goals and measurable outcomes, not a study of individuals with positional power often viewed as leaders or bosses by title of position. Please visit the program websites at: http://www.utc.edu/lead . Qualifications The successful candidate will hold an earned doctorate Ph.D., Ed.D. (or equivalent) in a relevant field (e.g. Research Methods, Psychology, Organizational Behavior). Evidence of research expertise and productivity in one or more areas in the context of leadership, cognition, decision-making, or other disciplines in the social sciences is required. The candidate should also demonstrate knowledge and experience in teaching Research Methodology (both quantitative and qualitative), Applied Research, and/or Applied Statistics at the doctoral level and provide evidence of contribution to national professional organizations. Experience in the use of Learning Management Systems is required. The preferred candidate will have experience in the dissertation process and will show evidence, experience, and skill in facilitating learning through instructional technology (synchronous and asynchronous). Experience in data mining and predictive analytics preferred.
