The Department of Psychology at Bucknell University invites applications for a beginning level, tenure-track faculty position in Clinical Psychology starting in August, 2024. We seek an outstanding scholar-educator with a commitment and interest in teaching a diverse population of undergraduates, integrating high-impact educational experiences into courses, and a strong or promising record of scholarship.

The successful candidate will teach five courses per year, develop a strong body of scholarship in their field of specialization related to Clinical Psychology, and participate in service activities at the departmental, college, and university levels, as well as the wider academic community. The successful candidate will also maintain an active research program that incorporates our students, generates peer-reviewed publications, and involves mentoring undergraduates.

As part of the five-course per year teaching load, the successful candidate will be expected to teach from among the following courses: Abnormal Psychology, an advanced research methods course, an advanced seminar in the candidate’s area of expertise, and one of the Psychology department’s service courses (Introduction to Psychology, Introduction to Research Methods in Psychology, or Psychological Statistics). The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to offer courses that contribute to the college core curriculum, such as Foundation seminars or Integrated Perspectives courses. The opportunity to supervise Master's degree students in Psychology also exists.

A Ph.D. degree in Psychology is required by the start of the appointment. We welcome candidates who demonstrate excellence in reflective multicultural and inclusive teaching practices and who display a strong commitment to collaborative and interdisciplinary research and teaching.

4) A brief description of their preparation to teach the classes described above and evidence of teaching effectiveness (course evaluations) or promise
5) A research plan outlining the applicant’s intentions for scholarly work at Bucknell, including how that work would incorporate undergraduate students
6) A diversity statement addressing the applicant’s experience with and commitment to fostering an inclusive and diverse learning environment
7) Three letters of recommendation submitted separately.
