Job Summary: The UWF Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering invites applications for a 9-month tenure-track position, at the Assistant Professor level specializing in robotics and related systems and tracks. The new Assistant Professor will teach robotics and other Electrical and Computer Engineering related courses and labs providing support to our undergraduate and graduate programs. The successful candidate will be expected to establish a productive research agenda including consistent dissemination of published research, pursuit of externally funded competitive grants, and mentoring of undergraduate and graduate students in their capstone senior design projects and theses. Additionally, the position will provide assistance and support in conducting community outreach and student recruiting activities including Emerald Coast BEST Robotics along with relevant service to the department, college, university, community, and discipline. We seek a faculty who will complement existing teaching and research areas within the department, with the potential for collaborative research with departmental and University colleagues.

Position Qualifications: Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a field closely related to robotics from an accredited institution with a strong commitment to teaching, academic research, and service.
