Position Purpose
The University of Central Missouri Department of Nutrition, Kinesiology, and Health invites applications for a tenure-track position as an Assistant or Associate Professor in Health Studies. This search is seeking to fill two full-time positions.
This is a full-time, 9-month, tenure-track position. The preferred start date is August 2024. For a tenure-track appointment, the doctorate is required at the time of appointment. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: providing 12-semester hours of classroom/ virtual instruction per semester; participation in various department and university committees and professional development; recruitment of potential Health Studies students; and performing scholarly activity to meet the promotion and tenure standards.
UCM, located 35 miles southeast of the Kansas City Metropolitan area, is a public comprehensive university with more than 12,000 students providing a small college learning environment coupled with large university opportunities. The Health Studies program offers one B.S. degree in Health Studies and one Health minor. The program has 3 full-time faculty.
