Assistant Professor, Health Service Psychology - Clinical Psychology

The University of Houston-Clear Lake (UHCL) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position beginning August, 2024 in the Health Service Psychology program (combined Clinical and School Psychology). The program received full accreditation from the American Psychological Association in August 2023. The selected candidate will also contribute to the Clinical Psychology master’s program. The Health Service Psychology program is housed in the Clinical, Health, and Applied Sciences department within the College of Human Sciences and Humanities. The appointment will be at the Assistant Professor level.

Duties:

• Teach the equivalent of two classes per semester (fall and spring), supervision and advising of doctoral and master’s students, including research supervision of theses and dissertations.
• Maintain a productive research program with potential for student involvement.  Area of research expertise is open, with preference given to those with a behavioral, cognitive behavior, or health psychology focus.

Evidence of or potential for teaching excellence across a wide range of psychology courses, particularly with emphasis related to practicum, CBT, and health psychology.

Bi-lingual (English/Spanish).
