Assistant Professor, Clinical Counseling

Bellevue University is seeking an Assistant Professor of Clinical Mental Health Counseling to join our growing team. We are a CACREP-accredited program that offers a Master of Science in Clinical Counseling (MSCMHC) degree.  This full-time faculty position will have a teaching load of at least 27 credit hours per year inclusive of summer assignments.

In addition to teaching, the Assistant Professor will be responsible for:

  • Communicating with site supervisors for internship.
  • Providing weekly individual and group supervision to students in internship.
  • Attending monthly faculty meetings and college meetings.
  • Advising assigned students regarding clinical matters in coordination with academic advisors.
  • Supporting various campus activities.
  • Providing advising for Chi Sigma Iota.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A doctorate in Counselor Education from a CACREP-accredited program.
  • Licensed or licensed eligible as a Licensed Independent Mental Health Professional (LIMHP) in the State of Nebraska; must obtain NE licensure within one year of hire.
  • Professional identity within the counseling profession through membership in professional organizations pertinent to counseling.
  • Commitment to the field of clinical counseling.
  • Experience with residential and online teaching platforms and/or online teaching experience preferred (Blackboard, Adobe Connect, Zoom, etc.)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  Pay & Benefits

  • The yearly salary for this role ranges from $65,000 - $80,000.
