OSU-Cascades is seeking an Assistant or Associate Professor of Teaching for the Kinesiology Program. This is a full-time (1.0 FTE), 9-month position, at Assistant or Associate Professor of Teaching with the expectation of teaching, scholarship, and service.
This Assistant or Associate Professor of Teaching is expected to teach in their area of expertise across the wide range of Kinesiology curriculum. The successful candidate is also expected to engage in research/scholarship and participate in service.

Assistant Rank:
  • A doctoral degree from an accredited university in Kinesiology or closely related Health Sciences field.
  • Demonstrable commitment to high teaching and student mentoring standards.
  • Prior teaching experience in Kinesiology or closely related Health Sciences field.
  • Demonstrated potential to engage in and develop scholarly work.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Associate Rank:
  • All of those qualifications listed for Assistant Rank.
  • Evidence of excellence in graduate student mentoring.
  • Teaching, curriculum development and scholarly achievements consistent with other Associate Professors of Teaching at OSU.
  • For individuals seeking the rank of Associate Professor, the candidate should meet the criteria for appointment at the desired rank as detailed by the OSU Promotion & Tenure guidelines. See https://facultyaffairs.oregonstate.edu/faculty-handbook for details. OSU will consider previous years of experience at other, similar institutions towards timelines for rank promotions.

This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a criminal history check and be determined to be position qualified as per University Standard: 05-010 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in youth programs may have additional criminal history checks every 24 months.
