Assistant or Associate Professor of Product Design & Engineering Technology

This position will provide instruction for the following programs: Product Design Engineering Technology (PDET), Mechanical Engineering Technology (MET) and Manufacturing Engineering Technology (MFGE). Additional programs including Plastics, Electrical/Electronics, Automotive, and Welding Engineering Technology take service courses from these programs and will therefore also be served by this position. This position will be responsible for PDET 220 which is a Cultural Enrichment General Education course which will impact students from across the University.

This position will serve mainly as an instructor for the PDET program but will also teach additional courses in the new Automation Certificate currently proposed by the Manufacturing Engineering technology program. The position will also be used to help teach a service course offered by the MET program.

The anticipated start date of this position is August of 2024 at the earliest and January of 2025 at the latest.
