Work Schedule | 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday – Friday with frequent evening, weekend, and holiday hours required in accordance with events schedule. This position is designated as ‘mandatory’ and, when contacted to report to work, its incumbent is expected to reach the campus as expeditiously as possible using normal precautions as dictated by the adverse weather conditions. |
Primary Purpose of Position | This position will report to the Associate Athletic Director for Broadcast Video and Technology, and will assist in the production and management of live sports broadcasts for ESPN+, in-venue productions, and other university events. Producing and directing broadcasts for the ESPN Digital Network is the primary responsibility of the Assistant Director of Broadcasting. The Assistant Director will work collaboratively with broadcast department staff, student, and freelance workers to ensure needs are met for productions. |
Minimum Education/Experience | Required Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalency and one year of experience related to the area of assignment in a broadcast television, radio, and emerging media environment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. University Preferred Qualifications: Graduation from a four-year college or university with a degree in radio, television, and motion picture and one year of experience in communications, public information, marketing, or television production work; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. |
