Position Summary | The Assistant Director, Direct Marketing is a valuable member of the Annual Giving team in the Office of University Advancement at William & Mary. The Annual Giving team at W&M is a best in class, innovative and expanding division that includes a newly added team of digital and lead annual gift officers, annual giving for schools and units across campus, and advances philanthropy from student and young alumni to 50th reunion and beyond. W&M’s alumni participation rate is ranked number one among public institutions nationally. The Assistant Director, Direct Marketing is the team lead for project management, which includes managing vendor relationships, campus partnerships, as well as data analysis, strategy, and reporting for all direct marketing efforts. The Assistant Director reports to and partners with the Director of Direct Marketing to develop annual program projections and objectives. They collaborate with colleagues to develop strategies and deliver direct marketing fundraising services for constituent area programs and recommend changes and enhancements to maximize program potential. The Assistant Director’s data management responsibilities include developing and tracking metrics, as well as analyzing data to adjust direct marketing strategies as needed for the entire direct marketing team.
