Posting Text | The School of Education, Counseling, and Human Development (SECHD) invites applications for an Assistant Director of Counseling and Human Resource Development at the main campus in Brookings, South Dakota. Working with the Director of the School of ECHD, the successful candidate will lead program coordination of the six Counseling specialization tracks at South Dakota State University (SDSU) and serve as the CACREP liaison. This is a twelve-month, tenure-track, open rank faculty position that is full-time and benefit-eligible The Assistant Director will be instrumental in maintaining accreditation standards with CACREP and the state, connecting and supporting the Counseling program at the Rapid City campus location, teaching graduate students, responding to inquiries regarding the overall academic unit, and maintaining an active research agenda as documented through publications and presentations. Key administrative requirements for this position are to provide input and make recommendations regarding the development of and expenditures from the budget, assist with identifying and securing temporary faculty, review program faculty workloads, oversee the admissions process, and other duties as assigned to the position. SALARY RANGE: Salary Range is commensurate with qualifications. Release time will be allocated to serve as the Program Coordinator for the Counseling and Human Resource Development academic unit. We offer a generous retirement plan that includes 6% matching, 10 hours of annual leave each month, 9.34 hours of sick leave each month, and eleven paid holidays.
