Position Summary Information
Primary Purpose | The Assistant Dean for Conservatory Admissions and Community Programs provides leadership and enrollment management for Conservatory of Music (COM) and Pacific’s Community Music School. The incumbent oversees the development and implementation of comprehensive music recruitment strategies that meet or exceed enrollment targets for the COM. The position is responsible for leading music admissions and recruitment activities that sustain enrollment targets in all degrees and applied areas offered that meet or exceed net tuition revenue goals. In concert with the Office of the Dean of the COM, music faculty, and Pacific’s Enrollment Management and Financial Aid offices, the position leads and refines the COM application and review processes and leads the awarding of COM merit scholarships in concert with Pacific’s Financial Aid Office. The position also functions as Director of Pacific’s Community Music School (CMS) and ensures that: CMS offers K-12 music students and Pacific’s community an inclusive array of music lessons, ensembles, and classes; connects pre-collegiate music students to Pacific as a school of choice; appoints CMS instructors in ways consistent with Pacific procedures and state and federal requirements; and works with the COM Budget Manager to ensure that annual revenues exceed expenses. The Assistant Dean for COM Admissions and Community Programs reports to the Dean of the COM and works collaboratively with all constituencies. |

Hiring Range | $71,596.39 - $98,456.30 per year. We consider factors such as, but not limited to, scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s qualifications, internal equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. |
