Job Summary
The Assistant Coach of Women’s Soccer assists in all aspects of the intercollegiate Women’s Soccer team including practice planning, game strategy, team travel and other team events when appropriate.
  • While the budget for this position is $15,000, the successful candidate will be compensated at a rate of $17.50/hour. Any remaining amount from the budget will be paid at the conclusion of the job posting period.
Education/Skills Requirements
Required:
  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent;
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.
  • Ability to motivate and effectively communicate with student-athletes
  • Commitment to being a positive member of the Athletics Department, the college community and the ability to influence his/her athletes to do the same
  • The coach must be self directed and motivated and be able to work independently and work in a stressful environment.

Preferred:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or related field OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience Requirements and/or Equivalents
Required:
  • Knowledge of soccer strategy and training methods and ability to effectively teach them.
  • Working knowledge of NCAA and NESCAC rules and an understanding of the philosophy behind them.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet the standards of the College’s current Motor Vehicle Policy required.
  • Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certification must be maintained.
  • Subject to pre-placement physical, criminal background check, and motor vehicle record check.

Preferred:
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in coaching Women’s Soccer.
Standard Work Days and Hours
  • This position is a casual part-time position working less than 19 hours/week
  • The selected candidate will work from August 15th – November 15th.
