Description	We seek faculty candidates with a master’s degree or higher in Dietetics, Nutrition Science, or other related discipline who have held the registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN) credential for at least 3 years at the time of appointment. Successful candidates should have good interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively and congenially, and be skilled in developing and teaching dietetics and nutrition science courses to students with a range of aptitude. Online teaching experience is also desirable as is experience in curriculum development and assessment. This nontenure track position rank can be considered at the Assistant, Associate, or Senior Lecturer level, or for candidates who hold a doctorate in a related area, appointment can be considered at the nontenure track rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Teaching Professor. Assistant Lecturer candidates should have teaching or teaching assistant experience. Assistant Teaching Professor candidates should have an earned doctorate or be ABD with all degree requirements to be completed by the time of appointment and have some teaching or teaching assistant experience. Associate/Senior Lecturer candidates should hold a master’s degree as described above and have more than 5 years of university teaching experience and excellent records of teaching. Associate/Teaching Professor candidates should have more than 5 years of teaching experience, and excellent teaching records. For any rank, we seek candidates able to contribute to inter-professional education
Minimum Qualifications	1. Master’s Degree or doctorate in Dietetics, Nutrition Science, or other related discipline from an accredited institution. 2. Have held the registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN) credential for at least 3 years at the time of appointment. 3. At least one year of successful on-campus or online teaching experience (for entry level teaching or teaching assistant experience) at the university level among students with a range of aptitudes.
Authorization to work in the US	Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications	1. More than 1 year of successful campus or online university teaching experience 2. More than 1 year of professional clinical nutrition-related experience 3. Experience in curriculum development. 4. Experience in curriculum assessment. 6. Doctorate in Nutrition Sciences, Dietetics or other related discipline or specialization from an accredited institution.

College/Department Information	THE DEPARTMENT OF NUTRITION AND HEALTH SCIENCES The Department houses accredited undergraduate majors in dietetics, public health, respiratory therapy and radiography, minors in public health and workplace wellness, graduate programs in Nutrition and Dietetics, Health Science with a track in Biostatistics and Epidemiology, and an accredited Dietetic Internship. Our programs serve 280 degree-seeking students and are supported by 35 full- and part-time faculty. Faculty and student mentees have access to research laboratories in the Interprofessional Community Clinics with space devoted to assessment, sample collection, processing, storage and analytics. The department also has a designated demonstration kitchen with attached classroom. The Welcome Home Suite, available for all faculty projects in the College of Health, is equipped with food preparation facilities, and feeding, resting and sample collection spaces. The Department of Nutrition and Health also offers general education courses for students from other majors. Faculty facilitate interprofessional education with students from other programs. THE COLLEGE OF HEALTH A vital health resource for Indiana in preparing health professionals, the College of Health is moving boldly forward in making interprofessional education, practice and research its paradigm across disciplines. The College offers 32 academic programs in 7 units: Departments of Counseling Psychology, Social Psychology, and Counseling; Military Science; Nutrition and Health Science; Speech Pathology and Audiology; Social Work; and Schools of Nursing and Kinesiology. More than 200 faculty and staff serve about 2,800 students. We partner with regional communities for immersive learning and research. Our Health Professions Building, opened in 2019, is LEED Gold certified with state of the art Simulation and Skills Laboratories. Other facilities include the Health and Physical Activity complex, Ball Gymnasium, and Lewellen Aquatic Center. We are committed to serving the community through health services and research. In the past year, our Interprofessional Community Clinics offered a range of health and mental health services delivered by 300 student clinicians supervised by 40 licensed faculty practitioners to more than 4,100 community members accounting for about 12,000 visits. In addition, students attended, hosted, or sponsored more than 100 community outreach events delivering health education and screenings to an estimated 2,000 people of all ages through the Clinics and the Healthy Lifestyle Center. Our faculty and students contribute to the evidence base. The College is active in research, currently with 53 active awards, totaling $14.3 million. Our footprint features the Center for Peace and Conflict Studies, Center for Substance Use Research and Community Initiatives, Human Performance Lab and other research labs.
