Position Summary
The faculty member will be an active researcher in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology at IUSM-TH. The faculty member will be expected to develop an internationally recognized and extramurally funded research program, and interact with diverse faculty, staff and students across campus. Candidates will also be expected to function as an active member of the department and university and foster a collegial and inclusive environment.
The faculty member in this position will teach medical students in courses in the first 2 years of medical school. The courses are Fundamentals of Health and Disease and Understanding Diseases of Systems (~60 hours/year). The faculty member will also participate in interprofessional education. The faculty member will be responsible for teaching small groups, participating on course management teams and assisting in grading.
Indiana University School of Medicine-Terre Haute, established in 1971, is a regional campus of the Indiana University School of Medicine. The 4-year Rural Medical Education (RMED) program based on this campus was established in 2008 and trains future physicians interested in practicing in small towns and rural areas.
