Position Purpose
The School of Nursing at the University of Central Missouri invites applicants for the position of Assistant or Associate Professor of Nursing. This 9-month tenure track faculty appointment will being August 2024. We are looking for faculty who are committed to providing quality and innovation in nursing.

The Position’s Responsibilities include:
  • This position is primarily for the undergraduate program including face to face, clinical, and skills teaching.
  • Consideration for graduate course instruction will be based on skill and experience and need.
  • Tenured faculty assignments, committee work, and development of curriculum will be dependent upon program assessment and school needs.
  • Faculty are expected to actively participate in committee work, service activities, and student advising.
Education & Formal Training Doctorate degree (Specify field(s) of study below)

Required Qualifications:
  • Earned Doctorate in Nursing (PhD or DNP) in Nursing required
  • Unencumbered, current, active registered nursing licensure in Missouri
  • Family Nurse Practitioner Certification by ANCC or AANP preferred

Required Experience:
  • 2 years nursing experience within the last 5 years
  • Unencumbered, current, active registered nursing licensure in Missouri

Preferred Experience:
  • CNE highly recommended, but not required
