McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston , a leading academic health center, invites applications for a full-time (1.0 FTE), tenure track Assistant/Associate Professor - in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology .
We are seeking an academically motivated, full-time faculty member whose career goal is physician-scientist in an academic department of otorhinolaryngology. The candidate should have completed otolaryngology residency training and be board-certified/eligible. An established track record of excellence in research endeavors (as evidence by NIH funding) is required.
The selected candidates will contribute to the department’s mission to educate health science professionals, discover and translate advances in the biomedical and social sciences, and model the best practices in clinical care and public health through research, teaching, clinical service, administrative activities, and other services.
Position Key Accountabilities:
The successful Assistant / Associate Professor candidates in Otorhinolaryngology will be committed to patient care, resident, fellow, and medical student education and clinical and collaborative research.
Individuals must demonstrate excellence in clinical medicine, teaching and scholarly activities during their training and practice.
This is a unique opportunity for those interested in academic otorhinolaryngology. The position will be based at the Department’s offices at Texas Medical Center. Fellowship training is not required, but candidates with fellowship training will be considered. Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with experience.
Qualifications:
The selected candidates for the position must have a Texas Medical License or be eligible for a Texas Faculty Temporary License, be board certified, or board eligible.
