Within NKH, there are complimentary programs in Kinesiology, Health Studies, and Nutrition. The Athletic Training Program is CAATE accredited and offers an M.S. degree.

Position Purpose
The Department of Nutrition, Kinesiology, and Health (NKH) at the University of Central Missouri (UCM) invites applicants for an Assistant/Associate Professor in Athletic Training. The position is a full-time, 9-month, tenure-track position. The start date is fall of 2024. ABD will be considered, but for a tenure-track appointment, the doctorate is required at the time of appointment.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: providing 12 semester hours of classroom instruction per semester; contributing to the maintenance of CAATE accreditation, participating in various committee membership and professional development; recruiting potential athletic training students; and performing scholarly activity to meet the promotion and tenure standards.
Teaching load is determined by programmatic need, and teaching responsibilities may arise in the areas of Health Studies and Kinesiology. There is expectation of summer teaching, which aligns with delivery of classes for the CAATE accredited AT Program. Summer teaching includes a separate contract, and compensation is in addition to the traditional 9-month contract.
