The Division of Innate Immunity and the Department of Medicine at the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School invite applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor Level. Rank will be commensurate with ability and experience. The position will be highly competitive with regard to start-up funds, laboratory space, and salary. The candidate will be expected to develop and maintain an innovative, externally funded research program. We are seeking individuals with a PhD and/or MD with research interests in any aspect of Innate Immunity or Immunology more broadly to complement a growing research program, including that of Drs. Kate Fitzgerald (Chief), Stefania Gallucci and Fiachra Humphries as well as colleagues in the neighboring Divisions of Infectious Diseases (Douglas Golenbock, Neal Silverman, Egil Lien, Read Pukkila-Worley, Megan Orzalli, Sanjay Ram, Zaida Ortiz-Ramirez, Stuart Levitz, Ann Moormann, and Lee Quinton) and Rheumatology (Roberto Caricchio and Ann Rothstein). Current faculty interests include, but are not limited to, innate immune sensors and associated signaling pathways (TLRs, nucleic acid sensors, and inflammasomes); dendritic cell biology; immunity to pathogens; autoinflammatory and autoimmune diseases and tumor immunobiology. We are particularly interested in candidates employing novel computational approaches as a major component of their research. Selection will be based on excellence in research and the potential to maintain an outstanding research program.
Applications will be accepted until the position is filled, but preference will be given to applications received by March 30, 2024. Applicants should submit a cover letter explaining their interest in the position, curriculum vita, a description of research accomplishments and future objectives, and a statement on diversity, equity, and inclusion to:
