What We Are Looking For
The Baylor Bears are seeking a lead videographer/editor for select sport programs who will assist interdepartmental teams within the athletic department with video requests. This position will be titled as either Assistant or Associate Director of Video Productions and will also lead creative concepts for select sport programs. Additionally, the person selected for this position will work with the Athletic Communications and Fan Engagement teams to help visually develop a creative strategy that will enhance each sport programs brand as well as work closely in collaboration with other departments to ensure the Baylor brand is consistent across all mediums and social platforms.

This position specifically supports the mission by producing video content for distribution to external constituents on digital platforms. Additionally, this position assists in creating motion graphics and shooting photography at select events. A Bachelor's degree, less than one year of relevant experience, and a Christian faith are required. Broadcasting/Film/Digital Media/Journalism or related major is preferred. Baylor reserves the might to make the final determination of whether this position will be filled at the Assistant Director or Associate Director level. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Other Required Qualifications:

  • Advanced proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Audition and Adobe Media Encoder.
  • Knowledge of Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator is a plus.
  • Cinema style, DSLR camera experience is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of general production equipment (Sony FX series & Alpha series cameras, audio, lighting, etc.)
  • Extensive experience with non-linear edit systems (NLE).
  • Self-starter who works efficiently.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Work well with others, and contribute to a positive team environment.

Reports to: Senior Director of Digital Media

What You Will Do

  • Video Content : Serve as the primary video contact (shoot, edit and produce) for select Baylor Athletics programs for distribution on digital platforms. Travel with assigned programs as necessary.
  • Photography and Motion Graphics: Assist in the creation of motion graphics and shooting photography at select events.
  • Communication . Maintain communication with coaches and administration relative to video content on digital platforms.
  • Compliance : Maintain working knowledge of and adherence to all NCAA, Big 12 Conference, and institution rules and regulations and to communicate immediately any possible infractions of such rules and regulations to the Athletics Compliance staff
  • Other duties as assigned.
