Job Summary
Academic Affairs in the College of Medicine is accepting applications for an Assistant Dean for Clinical Education. 
The Assistant Dean for Clinical Education will oversee the planning, coordination, and assessment of the clinical clerkship curriculum. They will be responsible for maintaining and expanding clinical sites to optimize student experience, support enrollment growth, and meet physician needs. Reporting to the Vice Dean, they will collaborate across departments to ensure the curriculum meets objectives and standards and prepares students for residency. Additionally, they will represent the office, serve as student liaisons, and conduct teaching, service, and research.

  • Business-related computer skills.
Required Qualifications
  • Medical doctorate required, MD, DO, or MD/PhD
  • Minimum of three years experience in an academic setting with teaching experience and clinical supervision of medical students (faculty rank and title will be dependent on experience and qualifications.)
  • Ability to acquire a medical license in the state of Tennessee.
  • Must have the credentials to qualify for appointment on the faculty of one of the departments of Quillen College of Medicine.
  • Must practice clinically and teach in the curriculum.
