Job Description
 

Applications are invited for a ranked non-tenure-track, 12-month, benefit-eligible, faculty appointment in the Division of Pharmacy Practice and Administration (DPPA) at the University of Missouri-Columbia (MU) site of the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) School of Pharmacy. The position at the Assistant/Associate Clinical Professor rank will support the educational and the patient care missions of the UMKC School of Pharmacy. Selection of practice site will be determined based on credentials and best fit with opportunities at the Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans’ Hospital or University of Missouri Health Care in Columbia, Missouri.

The successful candidate will provide pharmacy patient care services as a member of an interprofessional team and maintain responsibility for the clinical pharmacotherapeutic care of patients in the care of the practice site. Clinical responsibilities include providing quality, innovative pharmacy services to patients to improve outcomes and achieve benchmarks. Academic responsibilities include didactic lecturing, facilitation of interprofessional education, elective course instruction and/or development, skills-based assessment, the provision of experiential education, and mentoring PGY1 and PGY2 pharmacy residents. Scholarly productivity is expected. Service to the UMKC School of Pharmacy, the Division of Pharmacy Practice and Administration, the University and profession are expected through participation in faculty meetings, service on School committees, and participation in state and national professional organizations.

Qualifications
 

Excellent communication, interpersonal and patient care skills are essential. Candidates must have earned the Pharm. D. with post-doctoral residency and/or fellowship training or equivalent experience and be eligible for Missouri licensure. Anticipated Hiring Range
 

Rank and salary are commensurate with experience and education.
