Job Summary/Basic Functions
A short order cook is responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of food items in a kitchen environment. Some specific responsibilities of a short order cook might include:
Preparing and cooking food items to order such as sandwiches, burgers, and other menu items
Maintaining a clean and organized workstation, including washing dishes and utensils, sweeping and mopping the floor, and restocking supplies as needed
Adhering to health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and storage procedures
Monitoring food quality and presentation to ensure it meets customer standards
Working closely with the kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient service.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Food Handlers Certification
