Job Description

We are seeking to fill a non-tenure-track faculty position, beginning in Fall 2024, at the rank of Assistant Professor. This faculty member will be the coordinator for the Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) minor, which includes teaching undergraduate classes (typically three per semester), advising students in the ABA minor, being the Verified Course Sequence Coordinator, coordinating and creating internship/fieldwork opportunities, ensuring compliance with board requirements, and working toward developing Bachelor’s and Master’s programs in ABA. ISU’s Department of Psychology offers minors in Psychology and Applied Behavior Analysis, BS/BA degrees in Psychology, a PhD in general Experimental Psychology, and the state’s only APA-accredited PhD in Clinical Psychology (scientist-practitioner model).

Key Responsibilities

  • Teaching undergraduate classes (typically three per semester)
  • Advising students in the ABA minor
  • Being the Verified Course Sequence Coordinator
  • Coordinating and creating internship/fieldwork opportunities
  • Ensuring compliance with board requirements, and working toward developing Bachelor’s and Master’s programs in ABA

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's or Doctorate in Psychology, Behavior Analysis, Education, or related field (e.g., Special Education)
  • Board Certification as a Behavior Analyst (BCBA or BCBA-D)
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with assessment
  • Experience with curriculum development
  • Teaching experience, especially in a fully online format

This position will remain open until it is filled; however, priority consideration will be given to applications received prior to March 8, 2024. Salary will be between $50,000 - $63,000 per year, commensurate with education and experience.
