Job Summary
This position is located off-campus in Lexington, KY at UKHC KCH Richmond Road.
As an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in the UK Developmental Pediatrics Clinic, you will play a critical role in diagnosing and treating neurodevelopmental disorders in children and youth. Your primary responsibilities include conducting comprehensive evaluations to identify these disorders, creating and executing tailored treatment plans utilizing evidence-based practices, and prescribing medication while monitoring its effectiveness. Collaborating closely with other pediatric and mental health providers, you’ll ensure coordinated care for patients and educate both them and their families about their conditions, treatment options, and strategies for self-care.
You will be responsible for documenting patient progress, conducting follow-up appointments to evaluate the success of treatments, and making necessary adjustments to ensure the best possible patient outcomes. Your practice will be governed by strict adherence to legal and ethical guidelines to maintain patient confidentiality and comply with regulations and standards.
Within the UK multidisciplinary healthcare team, you will not only manage patient care in the clinic but also potentially engage in outpatient testing groups, case management, and social work teams, contributing to a comprehensive approach to patient health. Your position demands a strong foundation in evidence-based practice and education, a commitment to providing a safe and quality care environment, and a focus on professional development and competency.
