Must work well with the public and have excellent organization and communication (oral and written) skills since the position involves interpersonal public relations. Knowledge of office systems protocol and procedures in order to coordinate logistics for educational outreach. Experience facilitating meetings and delivering presentations to groups both in-person and virtually.

Computer experience including spreadsheets, word processing, peripheral equipment and internet/email knowledge, operation of various types of office equipment and digital technology. Must possess a high level of accountability and discretion.

Ability to adapt to ever changing demands and work environment. Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Google Suite products, and virtual meeting & presentation tools such as Zoom. Experience working in a university setting preferred.

Minimum of 2 years experience facilitating and coordinating informal education experiences to a community of people.
High degree of organizational skills and ability to collaborate with partner organizations.
Excitement to provide resources to the public in a way that will make an impact.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in related field and one-year experience (i.e. training or human resource development), or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Alaska Driver's license or ability to obtain one.
Position requires the incumbent to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.

Position Details:

This position is located in Anchorage Alaska. This is a full-time, term-funded, non-exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package . New hires will be placed on the UA staff salary schedule , Grade 78, based on education and experience.
