The Alumni Engagement Specialist, Alumni & Student Programs is a vital position with the Mizzou Alumni Association (MAA). This position provides administrative support to the alumni and student programs team as well as the main office.
Key Responsibilities:
Support MAA programs and sponsored events, including Homecoming, Alumni Association Student Board, Young Alumni, Griffiths Leadership Society, True Tiger Network, Faculty Alumni Awards, and other team and office-wide programs.
Handle fiscal tasks for alumni and student programs team including budget reconciliation, credit card payment, internal transfers, PeopleSoft and check requests, deposits, data and research collection, and other fiscal duties as assigned.
Update content and graphics on the MAA website. Manage online registrations and forms for alumni events and activities through iModules software. Design and distribute broadcast emails for large alumni populations.
Provide exceptional customer service including answering incoming calls, responding to email inquiries, and assisting alumni, friends, and students who walk into the office.
Streamline program communications and tasks through the project management software Basecamp.
Support events on-site through pre-event set-up, overseeing check-in/registration, and engaging with alumni, friends, students, and guests while ensuring the event runs smoothly. Audio/visual support. Post-event teardown, as well as after-event surveys and communication.
Support the Touring Tigers Program. Manage master Excel spreadsheet and individual spreadsheets for each tour. Process daily tour reservations, mail initial acknowledgments, and make necessary updates to CRM. Send out customer information form and departure boxes prior to each trip. Consolidate new trip images and information for website updates annually and as needed throughout the year.
This position also works closely with the other Alumni Engagement Specialists in the office to provide office and phone coverage.
Train, manage, and delegate tasks to student workers.
