This position is located in Brookings, South Dakota and is a 12-month, full-time, benefits-eligible position. The School of Health and Consumer Sciences (HCS) Aviation Education program is committed to preparing safe, innovative, and professional aviation educators who enhance human potential through transdisciplinary, learner-centered education in South Dakota and beyond. We assure this by forming multi-engine commercial pilots and instructors who can apply their core educational experience to the aviation profession. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist the Chief Aircraft Mechanic and Assistant Chief Aircraft Mechanic in the inspection and maintenance of the SDSU training aircraft fleet while maintaining aircraft under strict rules and regulations in place by the Federal Aviation Administration.
