Physical Requirements
This position requires occasional lifting, pushing or pulling of objects up to 50 pounds and loading and/or unloading supplies and materials onto carts.
Shift
Primarily Monday through Friday; 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.; some weekends and evening activities may be required as needed.
Job Summary
The Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment, Family and Consumer Sciences Extension is seeking an Agriculture Extension Specialist. This position will serve as an Extension Specialist supporting food access and food equity. This position will work with Extension Specialists, County Extension Agents, and Nutrition Education Program Assistants developing and implementing programming focused on the ability and opportunity for all people to grow and to consume healthful, affordable, and culturally significant foods. Position duties will include but are not limited to: program development, implementation, evaluation, and reporting; partnering with colleagues at state and national levels, and leading food access and equity efforts.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
Proven ability to work within deadlines; strong organizational and time/project management skills; excellent oral and written communication skills. Word, PowerPoint.

Preferred Education/Experience
Master’s Degree preferred.
