Job Summary
This position coordinates the horticulture-focused parts of the Center for Crop Diversification (CCD) in collaboration with other CCD staff in the Horticulture and Agricultural Economics departments. The ideal candidate has: familiarity with horticultural principles (expertise a plus), experience developing structured extension curricula, creative approach to delivering programs and developing content, experience working with Extension on campus and at county offices, and an enthusiasm for working in a collaborative non-hierarchical team environment. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic to meet and engage with new people, learn new skills, and communicate and collaborate with team members. The ideal candidate would possess communication skills applicable to a variety of formats including writing, editing, publication review, web development, public speaking, video development, audio recording, meeting facilitation, internal team communication, and external partner relationship building. This position will co-edit the CCD newsletter, co-manage the CCD website, and is responsible for managing the Horticulture department website.
