After Hours QA Mentor (Part-Time)

We're actively looking for a skilled After Hours QA Mentor to join the DevMountain team. In this key role, you will have the responsibility of guiding and educating students with precision and care during their learning journey. Partnering with our dedicated team, you will review and give insightful feedback on projects, making sure that students stay on track and thoroughly engaged.
The After Hours QA Mentor will take the initiative to ensure that students not only grasp the curriculum but are also able to put this knowledge into practice in reaching their project goals. Your dedication and savvy in this role will be fundamental.

Schedule for Postion:
Monday: 6:00pm - 9:00pm (Mountain Time)
Wednesday: 6:00pm - 9:00pm (Mountain Time)
Every Other Saturday: 9:00am - Noon (Mountain)

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and deliver course content under the supervision of the lead instructor.
  • Take the lead in conducting in-class exercises and overseeing project time.
  • Engage with individual students on their projects, ensuring quality and proper application of key principles.
  • Actively participate in regular student reviews and provide constructive critiques.
  • Motivate and encourage students as they navigate the challenges of acquiring new skills.
  • Work closely with team leaders to contribute to curriculum content and instructional strategies.

Required Skills:

  • Demonstrable reliability and punctuality.
  • Ability to conduct dynamic and engaging lectures.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript and Selenium.
  • Competence in essential computer skills.
  • Aptitude for adaptive learning and problem-solving.

Work Experience:

  • Entry-level position; however, candidates with at least 6 months of industry experience are preferred.
  • Current engagement in a full-time QA role outside of this position is desirable.

Educational Background:

  • Candidates may be self-taught developers, bootcamp graduates, or holders of an equivalent degree.

Additional Requirements:

  • This position necessitates on-campus presence.
  • The role entails a commitment of approximately 10-15 hours per week.
