Salary offers are determined based on the final candidate’s qualifications and experience, as well as internal equity and other internal factors. Position Summary Information


Job Description Summary
The Advising CRM Communication & Content Specialist plans, builds, analyzes and optimizes email, SMS (text) and any other Advising-related communications that are integrated with Slate, the Student Success customer-relationship management (CRM) system.
This position resides in the Office of Admission and collaborates with team members across the Admission, Undergraduate Education and Information System & Technology (IS&T) offices.
This position is temporary and will work on advising communication for undergraduate students (and their families) entering in the fall semester.
Responsibilities
Create and execute CRM Deliver communication plan
  • This position will collaborate with the Office of Admission Comm Team members on both executing concept ideas and developing and executing concepts for select projects.
  • Plan and manage CRM Deliver communication plans for Academic Advising, with a focus on engaging with incoming students. These plans integrate email, text, voicemails and print communications and are sent via the Slate CRM.
  • Oversee project requirements, including content creation, delivery of assets, all necessary approvals and production timelines.
  • In collaboration with Admission and IS&T staff, assist in the drafting, building and scheduling email and text communications with Slate.
  • Manage storage of all email and text communications within Slate, as well as digital assets used within those communications (mastheads, pictures, signatures, etc.). 

Analyze and optimize email, text and other CRM-related communications
  • Monitor, adjust and report on communication effectiveness to internal stakeholders and campus partners, to both assess performance and inform optimization processes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to email, text and related CRM communications.
  • Assist in the management of Advising mailing lists (e.g., resolving bouncing email addresses and phone numbers).
  • Document and manage processes used to support email and text communications, as well as other communications integrated with Slate. 
Required Qualifications
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent within marketing, communications or related field.
  • A minimum of two years experience related to position responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of email marketing best practices and experience with email marketing software.
  • Familiarity with databases and list management.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple and concurrent projects from a variety of stakeholders.
  • Strong interest to experiment and learn new systems.

Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge of HTML editors and coding.
  • Experience in a higher educational setting or non-profit
  • Experience with Slate or other CRM software.
  • Knowledge of Chapman University policies and procedures pertaining to the duties of the position.
