To support our innovative programs, the College of Professional Studies (CPS) seeks an outstanding individual to join our team as the Admissions Officer. The Admissions Officer reports to the Associate Director, Admissions. The Admissions Officer is a critical team member who communicates with prospective students, assesses applications and processes decisions, collaborates with CPS Recruiters, is responsible for data management, and supports day-to-day operations. As the main point of contact for applicants, the Admissions Officer will provide the highest quality customer service by resolving routine and complex inquiries, counseling prospective students on admission requirements, accurately processing applications, and may make initial recommendations about qualifications. The Admissions Officer may identify opportunities for improvement and make recommendations for process changes. This position also maintains admissions schedules and works closely with the Admissions and Recruiting team. This position often participates in or hosts information sessions, assists in planning admissions events and may host interview days, often representing the Admissions function. Specific Responsibilities Include:
Perform other related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position. This is a hybrid position with some days remote and some days in the office. This position is located at the GW Alexandria Education Center in Alexandria, VA. |

Minimum Qualifications: | Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. |
