This position facilitates the University's program of recruiting and admitting students.

Recruitment - 60
Limited travel to surrounding counties to attend PROBE and other college fairs in order to meet prospective students and their parents. Answers questions from students and families and disseminates literature while attending these fairs and other recruitment events. Territory has shifted to a smaller territory that is more locally based to limit the amount of overnight travel due to adding social media responsibilities to the position. Travels to PROBE and other college fairs in order to meet prospective students and their parents.
Reporting - 20
Holistically evaluates individual freshman and transfer applications, transcripts, test scores, and GPAs to make admissions decisions. Enters admissions decisions and other relevant data into student information system. Knowledge of university admissions requirements. Proven driving skills, a good sense of direction, and a solid familiarity with the state's highway, roadway, and interstate system.
Reporting Analysis - 20
Analyzes various applicant reports to look for trends in order to guide recruitment decisions and efforts. Uses data and trends to plan and recruit in a specific geographic territory. Produces correspondence related to recruitment events and activities involving prospective students, parents and high school counselors. Also composes various letters and other correspondence that is deemed necessary from particular situations. Familiarity with computers and software, especially BANNER Student Information System. Strong interpersonal skills, excellent written and communication skills, and polished public speaking.

Bachelor's degree 

ABILITIES
Ability to use independent judgment in making admissions decisions. Strong interpersonal skills, excellent written and communication skills, and polished public speaking. An appreciation and understanding for marketing and sales from an educational perspective.
KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge of university admissions requirements. Proven driving skills, a good sense of direction, and a solid familiarity with the state's highway, roadway, and interstate system.
SKILLS
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, excellent time management and organizational skills. Minimal graphic design skills.
