Position Summary:

Florida Atlantic University is seeking an Admissions Coordinator, Boca Raton, FL

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Assist with various functions including but not limited to graduate recruitment and advising prospective and current students.

  • Review admissions applications and audit applicant records in the error tables.

  • Provide cross-functional assistance in the admissions department utilizing platforms such as: Banner, OnBase, Salesforce, admissions customer relationship management (CRM) system, etc.

  • Review applicant’s record when transcripts are received and determine if applicant file can be referred to the respective college for review and decision making. This process includes the overall review of the applicant record, including review of conduct issues and working with the Conduct Officer for follow up and record clearance.

  • Assist with processing admission decisions in Banner, including clearing of registration holds, sending out acceptance packets and admissions decision letters.

  • Assist with processing requests from applicants and departmental faculty and staff relating to change of entry term, change of program concentration and inactivation or reactivation of records.

  • Audit applicant records in the error table.

  • Assist with transcript management in Banner and OnBase, adhering to official Graduate College’s protocols and procedures. 

  • Provide backup support for Graduate College’s program assistants including but not limited to front desk support and various Graduate College’s email account correspondence.  

  • Check each application ensuring data is accurate and complete. This includes, but is not limited to, application/decision award validation, checking OnBase for confirmation of receipt of transcripts or other data, printing transcripts from various sources and researching the validity of transcript and/or accreditation of schools.

  • Assist with other admissions processes and events within the Graduate College as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization; or a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience required.
Demonstrated organizational skills and ability detail oriented required.
Demonstrated strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills required.
Ability to exercise independent judgment, multitask, and manage/prioritize time required.

Salary:

$48,000 - $52,000 per year.
Exempt Administrative, Managerial, Professional (AMP)
