Primary Purpose of Position
This position provides general administrative faculty support in the School of Nursing. This position has a variety of clerical, reporting, and administrative assignments and requires strong interpersonal and communication skills and computer competency.
Minimum Education/Experience
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Graduation from high school; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
University Preferred Qualifications:
Graduation from high school, or completion of its equivalency, and three years of office/clerical work experience; or an equivalent combination of training/experience.
Essential Job Duties
In collaboration with School Of Nursing leadership, the successful candidate will be responsible for accurately and expeditiously creating graduate and undergraduate course schedules, securing classrooms, processing all paperwork for full-time and part-time hires, participating in onboarding new faculty, purchasing, processing faculty travel, assigning advisors, participating in and providing coordination and support for student events, and serving as the primary contact for accessing community space in the simulation lab.
Other Work Responsibilities
Must complete PAC training within the first two years of employment. Other duties as assigned.
Departmental Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education
  • Minimum education Graduation from high school or completion of its equivalency, and
  • Three years of office/clerical work experience required;
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred;
  • Advanced knowledge and skills in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite of software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access); Banner student and finance, Canvas, or other learning management systems;
  • University experience as it pertains to internal structures and processes.
  • A proven record of experience in organizational records and technology, problem-solving, resourcefulness, and effective communication skills is necessary.
  • Ability to work independently, a high level of professionalism, customer service orientation, and an understanding of confidentiality is required.
